On April 20, 2024, the Gilmanton Year Rond Library hosted a group of organizations including the Gilmanton Recreational Trail Tenders of the Conservation Trails Sub-Committee | Gilmanton NH. The day included two tours of the Cogswell Mt. Trail's Beaver Pond Loop. On this particular Day, Shug, a mysterious creature normally seen around the Jones Farm Conservation Area on Loon Pond Road was seen wandering around.
